A trough of low pressure brought thundery showers to Guangdong today. Locally, it was mainly cloudy with occasional heavy showers and squally thunderstorms. More than 30 millimetres of rainfall were generally recorded over the territory, and rainfall even exceeded 70 millimetres over Lantau Island, Kowloon East and Sai Kung. The trough of low pressure is expected to move away from the coastal areas tomorrow. The weather will improve over the region.
