Hiking Hong Kong Victoria Peak Loop Trail Reversed
Victoria Peak Trail starts at The Peak so your best bet is to take the peak tram up here at a cost of HK$22 bucks. As is expected you can get some great shots of the city from up here. This hike is very much family orientated with signage displaying wildlife and fauna found in the surrounding areas.
Trail enjoyment ranks in at 3 stars due to the fact that the trail is 100% concrete and is mostly flat. Although it does offer great views of Central and features some beautiful tree lined paths along the way, it is rather short and simple. Difficulty ranks in at 1 star because the trail is almost totally flat and very short in duration at approximately 45 minutes.
You'll want to purchase water before arriving at the peak because everything is ridiculously expensive up here - tourist prices.

Starting from the peak tram terminus turn right and head toward the path on the left across the road. Take the road to the right of the building with the red roof.

This path is actually a road so be careful of traffic while walking down it.

There is a lovely waterfall a little bit down the trail. Unfortunately it is very close to the trail and difficult to photograph.

The clouds can sometimes touch the mountain tops around here and this photo is a result of that.

Up ahead is a fitness park where you can have a go at the different fitness activities available.

When you reach a large park to the left, continue straight ahead along Lugard Road.

There are quite a few residential buildings along this path with roads branching off to the left and right. Be sure to stay on the main trail that goes straight ahead.

The trees along this hiking trail are stunning and offer some fantastic photo opportunities. Don't forget to look up and around you to admire their beauty.

The tree vines paint interesting murals on the registered slopes of the Victoria Peak Trail.

It is interesting to see the various plants growing on the rocks and slopes around the area.

The surrounding forest area on the Victoria Peak Trail is simply stunning. This has got to be one of my favorite walking trails in Hong Kong.

A spider web wet with dew from the high humidity levels caught my eye.

Ordinarily the views from Victoria Peak Trail of the Hong Kong harbor are quite remarkable, however on a cloudy day like today, I could not get many pictures beyond about 50 metres in front of me. However, cloudy and misty days do offer fantastic shots of the surrounding forest as trees fade away into the distance giving you the eerie feeling that you are trapped within a Dean Koontz novel.

The Peak Tower appears as if it were in a dream.

When you see the Peak Tower you have reached the end of the Victoria Peak Trail.
