Hiking Hong Kong Peng Chau Loop 06
This hike is the reverse of Peng Chau Loop 05.
Please visit our Peng Chau Information page for more details about Peng Chau including Ferry Timetables from and to Central, Discovery Bay and Cheung Chau as well as a run down of the various hiking trails found on Peng Chau.
This shortened version of Peng Chau Loop 04 scrapes through on a 3 star rating for enjoyment, purely due to the excellent views offered when walking through the graves at the top of the mountain. The trail is very easy and quick to complete.
The starting point for this hike is the Peng Chau Market which is located mid-way between the Central ferry pier and the Discovery Bay ferry pier.

Starting the hike at the Peng Chau Market, head towards Wellcome. Stop off and get yourself a drink for the hike. Continue past Wellcome and veer left toward the waterfront.

Follow the green fence along the waterfront and past the residential buildings on the right.

At the intersection pictured below, turn right.

Head up the stairs at the end and through the grave stone area. One thing that you can be sure of in Hong Kong is that wherever there is a grave stone, it is usually accompanied by a good view.

Turn right at the intersection at the end of the grave area.

At the end of this downwards slope, turn right at the silver shed.

Continue along this section, which is quite long.
When you get to the chicane, turn right, then left.
At the end of the path, when you reach the beach turn right and follow the waterfront around and past the houses on your right.
Near the middle of the beach, you will come across a small temple named Lung Mo Temple.
Take the road, right, just before reaching Lung Mo Temple.

Continue down this road and head through the alley way by the tree in the middle in the picture below.

At the end of this alley way, turn left and make a quick right, heading toward HSBC bank.

Keep going straight where you will come back to the Peng Chau Market and the ferry piers to Central, Discovery Bay and Cheung Chau.
