When we are out hiking on the trails of Hong Kong it is important to bring our phones just in case we need emergency assistance.
Occasionally when I’ve been out hiking I’ve noticed my mobile phone coverage drop out and sometimes my phone has died while on the trail.
In these and other circumstances it is important to know where exactly we can get mobile coverage and where we can find emergency telephone locations along the trails that we are hiking.
Below are the maps for Hong Kong Trail mobile coverage which include the following:
- Areas where calls can be connected to one or more local networks with good voice quality
- Areas where calls can be connected to one or more local networks with limited voice quality
- Areas where calls cannot be connected to any local networks
- Emergency help line/telephone kiosks
These Hong Kong Trail mobile coverage maps also show the distance posts so that if and when you need to make an emergency call, that you can quote the nearest distance post.
Please note that these maps are not intended for use as a hiking trail map; if you need a map for hiking Hong Kong Trail, you can purchase the Hong Kong Island & Neighbouring Islands Countryside Series hiking map.
