Lethe Confusa Banded Treebrown Butterfly

The Lethe confusa is commonly known as the Banded Treebrown Butterfly. It is of the Nymphalidae Family and was first published in 1897.

It is about 50-55 mm in width with the upper surface of its wings predominantly brown in colour. The fore wing has a white band and pale spot on the apex. The underside of the hindwing has a large ocellus or and a series of spots along the margin. It can be found mainly in bamboo forests.
